đGODâS GIFT TO HUMANITYđ
This December, regardless of our current situation, let us be mindful of Godâs greatest gift to humanityâJESUS CHRIST! âFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life,â John 3:16 NKJV.
Gift-giving is an expression of LOVE,
âThis is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that HE loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven. 1John 4:10 GNT
God, divine Love itself, loves us so much that He sent Jesus to awaken us to our own pure identity as Godâs beloved sons and daughters, and show us how to live this identity. This is indeed something to celebrate.
Jesus referred to himself as the Son of God, which points to his spiritual and eternal identity as Christ, the full expression of divine LoveâŚreforming and healing power. He also referred to himself as the Son of man, his appearance in human form through his virgin birth, which is what we celebrate at Christmastime.
Philippians 2:3 sayâs, Now if your experience of Christâs encouragement and love means anything to you, if you have known something of the fellowship of his Spirit, and all that it means in kindness and deep sympathy, do make my best hope for you come true! Live together in harmony, live together in love, as though you had only one mind and one spirit between you. Never act from motives of rivalry or personal vanity, but in humility think more of each other than you do of yourselves. None of you should think only of his own affairs, but should learn to see things from other peopleâs point of view. (Phillips) đđź
This needs repeating, Love is the greatest gift because love is being like God. God calls himself love in 1 John 4:16, And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. To love, to be filled with the greatest gift, to grow in love, we must know and rely on God by growing in faith and hope in the Word of God.
Letâs end this year by sharing Godâs gift of Christ with others and continue to move forward with the demonstration of Christâs love in our daily walk.
đđźPRAYERđđź
Father God, Thank you for loving me unconditionally. You are patient, kind, and your love for me NEVER fails (1 Cor 13:8).
Teach me through the power of your Holy Spirit to extend love and grace towards those around me.
I can choose to love others because you radically loved me first (1 John 4:19).
Your love is stronger than the ocean's waves, and more vast than the heavens. Many rivers cannot quench your love. The flame of your unfailing love never goes out, and it is stronger than the power of the grave! (Song of Songs 8:6-7) Help me to spread the power of your love and strength throughout the world.
May the flame of your love continue to burn within me, and may l ignite your joy and hope to everyone I meet!
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Love, â¤ď¸ Love, â¤ď¸ Love â¤ď¸
